General
Shipping Policies:
Most orders ship within 2 days, but in some case can take up to 6 weeks (custom cabinets and back orders).
Shipping
for Books, Shipping for Wine Cellar
and Cooling Units, and Shipping
for Wine Accessories and Miscellaneous Items are
calculated at different rates. Shipping for mixed orders
(one item from two or more shipping categories) will be
calculated and billed separately after an order has been
placed. Customers who place mixed orders will be contacted
by a Wine Hardware representative to provide shipping
details, charges and options. Your approval is required
before we charge your credit card for shipping. You will
be contacted by a Wine Hardware representative within
one business day of your order. If you are ordering items
from only one shipping category (for example books only),
your shipping costs are calculated when you checkout and
the costs are added to the total amount of your purchase.
Your products will be shipped within one business day
and no additional contact is necessary
Please note that Wine Hardware does not look to make a
profit on shipping. In some instances we actually charge
you less then what we are charged for shipping. Some items,
such as The Classic
Laguiole Corkscrew are designated free shipping items
and you will not be charged any shipping fees for these
items. You may also pick-up most items at our South San
Francisco or St. Helena warehouses. Please call for an

Shipping
Carriers and Methods: UPS:
All Books, Wine Accessories and Miscellaneous Items will
be shipped via UPS (United Parcel Service). UPS can not
ship any products to any United States Postal Service
Post Office Boxes. We currently ship UPS Ground. All
orders must be received by 1:00pm PST to go out the same
day, otherwise orders will be shipped on the next business
day. Please note, shipping by UPS Ground can take between
3 and 6 business days, based on your location. To calculate
your approximate shipping time you can use the UPS website's
shipping
time calculater.
Moving Van: Wine Cellars are shipped via White Glove Delivery. Cooling Units and Danby Wine Refrigerators are shipped via UPS Ground or Curbside Delivery. WE MUST HAVE YOUR DAY AND EVENING PHONE NUMBERS IN ORDER TO SCHEDULE THE DELIVERY.
Curbside Delivery: The unit is shipped via common carrier and unloaded at the door (or garage) in locations where the truck can pull up. Otherwise the unit will be unloaded as close as the truck can pull up to your door (or garage).
White Glove Delivery: The unit is shipped via Moving Truck. White glove delivery entails a moving truck with two men and delivery into the house. The unit is unpacked and packing materials are removed. Any delivery requiring movement up more than 5 steps has additional charges that are to be determined by special quote. Please contact Wine
Hardware if you would like White Glove Delivery for destinations
with more than 5 steps.
** Alaska and International Orders are calculated based
on the unit ordered and the destination. Please contact
Wine Hardware for quotes to these destinations.

Shipping rates for wine accessories, books and miscellaneous items are based on the weight of the items in the shopping cart and are taken directly from the UPS website.

International
Shipping Policy:
Wine Hardware will ship to most international destinations.
Please contact Wine Hardware
for International Shipping Rates or if you have any questions.
Otherwise we will calculate the shipping charges for your
international order and contact you for approval. Your
credit card will be billed separately for International
Shipping Fees only after customer approval is received.
All orders will be sent insured with tracking numbers
when available to destination country. Wine Hardware reserves
the right to refuse any international orders whatsoever
without reason. Notice will be sent to customer in this
situation. We appreciate your understanding.
Returns
and Exchanges:
If you have received damaged, defective or incorrectly
shipped merchandise contact our customer service department
immediately. All returns must be authorized by out customer
service people, via phone or email. No COD or unauthorized
returns will be accepted. Goods damaged in transportation
should be refused before delivery or held for inspection
in the event a claim must be made with UPS or the trucker.
Regardless of condition, products must be packaged appropriately
so as not to incur physical damage during return shipping.
Wine cellars and items covered by manufacturer's warranty
may require return or claim with the manufacturer.
Order
Tracking
Order status can always be checked online by selecting
the Order Tracking
link at the top of our website. The following are the
order status descriptions you will see and what they mean:
New Order- Order was received. In Progress-
Order is being processed, availability being confirmed.
Not Finalized- Open order, not all products
have shipped due to out of stock on one or more items.
Completed- Order was sent and UPS tracking
number is provided. |
