Wine Barrel Stave Chair

Through this ingenious design we are able to create a fun, comfortable and affordable folding chair with historical significance. We construct the Barrel Stave Chair from 100% white oak barrel staves, salvaged from 70 gallon wine barrels that are discarded from the California wine industry after about 10 years of use. The chairs are fastened with four oak rails and 72 screws. Each chair is numbered on the backside of the seat and branded with the name of the winery where the barrel was used.
