WhisperKOOL Platinum Split 8000

At WhisperKOOL, we have redesigned the housing for the Platinum series split system evaporators. While the internal components have proven to be reliable and effective, we have designed new housing systems for improved installation and accessibility. The previous design was a little challenging in terms of mounting and accessing the components for installation. It required the removal of the top or side panel. When racking was installed around the unit, it was difficult to gain access for service or maintenance.

Our new design makes the units easier to install by gaining access to system from the front of the unit where we have installed removable grills. This greatly improves the ability to install the system and access it for maintenance. Please note that the dimensions have changed slightly. Review the specification section when planning your install to account for the dimensional change. At WhisperKOOL, we believe in the goal of continuous improvement in everything we do in order to enhance the customer’s experience.

There are circumstances in which a cellar design may require a larger unit due to some existing design restrictions. There are several factors such as glass, stone, concrete, etc. which will seem adequate but do not offer the insulation capacity required to maintain the optimum environment. We recommend purchasing a unit with a larger capacity to compensate for the design limitations. Please utilizing our Cellar Wizard in order to ensure you are selecting the proper cooling unit for your application. Under sized cooling units can lead to pre-mature failure and/or prevent the system from reaching the desired set temperature. As a result they are not covered under warranty.

*Pump down systems are integrated into the design of our split systems to provide our customers with the most professional and reliable split cooling systems for wine cellars.

The SC Series is our easiest-to-install, self-contained cooling unit. It does not require an HVAC-R technician to install.

The SC PRO Series embodies the latest and greatest system design technologies in an all-new housing design. By combining powerful airflow with quiet operation technology, the SC PRO is unrivaled when it comes to efficiently cooling small to mid-sized wine cellars.

What separates the original SC Series from the SC PRO Series? The SC PRO comes complete with a new blower fan system that optimizes performance while operating at a significantly lower noise level. It also reintroduces a condensate management system, which effectively evaporates up to 3oz. of water an hour. This management system renders the drain line as an additional safeguard rather than a definite need.

The SC PRO Series is a direct replacement for one of the most well-known cellar cooling units, the XLT. Designed for simple, through-the-wall installation, the unit fits between standard wall studs and a single piece mounting bracket eliminates the need for a support shelf. The SC PRO has a 30°F temperature differential. In order to keep your cellar at 55°F, the condenser intake temperature should not exceed 85°F. This makes interior installation ideal for SC Series units.

The Fully Ducted Extreme Series units can be positioned up to 25 ducted feet from the cellar, creating a noise-free cellar environment. Fully ducted installation provides many installation options, allowing you to not only put the unit in more remote areas of the home but to also have full control of where the exhaust air vents to. This series features an advanced liquid temperature controller with a remote LED display (which can be placed up to 300 line feet from the unit) and electronic thermostat. Maintain 55°F and 50-70% relative humidity in a cellars up to 800 cu. Ft. (3500tiR), 1250 cu. Ft. (5000tiR), or 2000 cu. Ft. (8000tiR) in size.
