Winery Notes: When this wine hits the glass, you are greeted by a compelling bouquet with hints of blackberry, strawberry and vanilla. A few moments later and a second swirl introduces subtle black pepper. Pleasant mid-pallet tannins round out the experience with a nice mocha finish. Our Syrahs are wonderfully complex and a delight to…
Winery Notes: Rich and Joan drank a life-altering Tempranillo in Barcelona, at the Zona d’Ombra, and decided that they had to plant it here. It’s our best-behaved vine variety. It ripens beautifully. Named after original owner, Simone or “Sim” as she was affectionately known to the family. Capturing the idyllic weather of the 2018 growing season, they harvested two of the families favorite varietals from the estate vineyard in the early days of October: Grenache and Mourvèdre. With intense aromas on the nose – think star anise, cocoa and espresso comingled with tiny, sun-ripened French plums and wild strawberries – and a wonderfully juicy palate, rich and layered with brambly fruits like blackberries and ripe red cherries, candied violets, crushed gravel, kumquat peel and perennial pantry baking spices such as allspice and Ceylon cinnamon. Its beautiful, silky texture is punctuated with a fresh palate-pleasing finish and intense concentration. It will certainly beckon a meal – be it a few skewers of impromptu yakitori, or boeuf bourguignon with your loved ones when you feel like lingering.
Winery Notes: Crushed warm raspberry, blackberry, cherry, fleshy red fruit, rose, wax, cranberry with orange and cinnamon, sassafras. Medium plus body Pinot with good acid attack. Lush fruit, pomegranate, cola, baking spice

The fruits are layered with lovely citrus notes of grapefruit and lime leaf and a thread of ripe melon. Notes of peach add juiciness. Slightly spicy on the finish, this quaffable wine has a nice sweetness and a bright…
